This is a video from a shooting session in New Mexico on Monday of last week. Sunday was calm, Monday was not. The hilly terrain results in tough calls due to change in wind velocity over the entire bullet path. But, if you don't know what you are doing anyway, a little hold shift is better than nothing most of the time when the wind picks up as sensed at the shooting table. So I guessed. Here is the result.

There is an aim point on a stick above the lead catcher with an 8" bullseye on it. I use that for an aim point. Holding "half bull right" is shifting the hold by 4", "full bull right" is 8". Roughly! Because the sight is dancing around some even on a calm day when viewing a hold point 200 yards out. I tried.
Enough videos for the last 2 weeks. I might decide to clean that P-09. It hasn't been touched over the last few hundred rounds. But cleaning it might ruin it.

I ran one dry patch through the barrel of the P-09. This is at about 200+ rounds, two local trips to the range and two trips in New Mexico. Rand the borescope down the bore. Lands were shiny, grooves had an even smooth carbon layer, chamber and leede area still nice. I didn't clean it. Put the barrel back in the slide, put the gun up. Will check it again after a few more trips.

Always appreciate your comments on cleaning ;D Still remember the epic Kadet cleaning posts with a smile. To many shooters spend too much effort, time, and angst about a little carbon buildup.
