Title: Suggestion for Chicagoland CZ Gunsmith
Post by: Strick9 on April 06, 2025, 07:19:38 PM
I am searching for a quality CZ gunsmith in Chicagoland area, I have an issue with P-01 not resetting properly after CGW pro package install. (gun cycles just not a defined “click”)

Check and possibly adjust your triggerbar spring using this tutorial:  https://cdn1.cajungunworks.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/28155355/How-To-34-Adjustment.pdf

If you have set the pretravel setscrew on the trigger remove the screw and see if that helps.  Adjust the trigger screws with this tutorial:

A video would be helpful.

The update… Adjusting left side spring has resulted in an audible and slight physical reset but the reset is slightly delayed. It will click but only after a half second pause. Again after I rack the slide back and release the trigger trigger comes out to an acceptable reset position and then “click” wonder if I should adjust either rest screws at this point.  :-\

It sounds like you may want to back off the pretravel screw.  Does the trigger bind at all through the reset?  When troubleshooting you want to eliminate potential sources and the pretravel setscrew could prevent reset if set too tight.

I'd also give CGW a call and discuss your issue.  They are super helpful and will get you on the right path in short order.

Cheers,
Toby

Thanks for your replies… last question I imagine, to adjust the spring should I unscrew and adjust spring out side of the frame or attempt the adjustment installed. The bad news is I went to the range and it would only fire in DA  :'( :'( :'(  otherwise just slight trigger movement but no reset  >:(
Thanks again
