Post by: BosetiPolska on December 05, 2004, 04:52:15 AM
If you hate spring vibration in your Slavia you just have to change your spring guide. Instead a metal one you have to use a spring guide made of  ERTALYTE , thats all ! I have such a spring guide in my Slavia 631 and it is just fantastic I do not hear twang at all, and I wiil not for many years :D .

A good fitting spring guide that is custom machined from
steel , brass or delrin works really well .
Alternatvely you can do a shrink tube tune , using 5/8ths
electrical shrink on the guide after spreading some epoxy on the guide , then place in a 150*c toaster oven ..with the guide on its base for 20 min . Then trim the end and lightly moly and assemble.

            Frank.
