Cleaning out my dad's storage locker and came across a Slavia
620 pellet gun in excellent condition.
Would anyone know the manufacturing years for this model?
Any guess as to the "fps" for this 620?
Would it have any collector value or should I let my nephew hunt rabbits with it?
Any assistance appreciated.

Velocity is about 400-420fps , to the best of my knowledge they were made in the mid 60's to early 70's
not much collectors value as many were made .
worth restoreing and enjoying ..the slavias are so well made they are passed down from one generation to the next.

Thanks Frank.
Will use for target shooting.
Not enough fps for rabbit hunting.

My Slavia 620 has more than enough power for rabbits.

Sure is a 620. Your 5 number serial would place it around 1965. My dads has a 6 number serial and his was purchase around 1968 to shoot targets at the summer cottage.
Some chrony readings. 177 cal. 7gr 422 fps.
7.5gr 386 fps. 8.6gr 307 fps.
CZ sure made the gun to last. Shoots as good now as the day it was purchased.

This Slavia 620 was made between 1989 and 1994. Reason for this is that up to 1989 Ceska Zbrovka Uhersky Brod ( CZ) located in Sothern Moravia used old CZ logo.. logo on this air rifle was adapted by CZ Uhersky Brod in 1989 when they had to surrender original logo to old and original CZ factory Strakonice located in Czech Republic. (Both CZ factories have presently different owners). Secondary, Czechoslovakia as country ceased existence in 1994 and split to today CZECH REPUBLIC and SLOVAK REPUBLIC. In all BRNO and CZ firearms, year of manufacturing can be traced not by serial numbers ..which are misleading..but 2 digits number usualy on side of receiver, or under barrel ( for example 92 stand for year of manufacturing 1992).

Brnomann.
I looked where you said. Only other markings besides the
serial number are: CSSR-71.
Is this what you mean?

I wonder if 65 or 67 is year of manufacture.
-
Chamber was made in 1965 ( 65), Rifle was finish in 1967 ( 67 inspection stamp) and exported in 1971 (probably to Canada). CSSR stands for Czechoslovak Socialist Republic (71) for year of manufacturing or export..
Sorry for my previous misleading statement..I should look closer to logos..They can be confusing on first or rather quick look....
