Been wondering where Hakan has been and I heard from today. He had taken some time at Easter to spend with his family. He said his family "gives his life meaning", hope you don't mind me sharing that my friend, and I couldn't agree more. I am taking some time off to spend with Carol and Becky, they also give meaning to my life.
OK so much with the mushey stuff.
He has received the samples I sent and hopefully we will be seeing some of his handywork soon. The bigger box should be there in 3 or 4 weeks. More eye candy?
Hakan take care and stay healthy,

I also just shipped Hakan some South Texas Mesquite and some elk horn for him to play with. I'm very interested in what the Mesquite is going to turn out like, but if it's anywhere near as beautiful as the Ziricote I sent, I think everyone will love it.

Looking forward to seeing the mesquite and elk horn panels. Is the mesquite as hard a wood as I have heard?
Weatherby made some beautiful stocks from it.

Oh yeah, it's super hard. Took me forever to carve it down to a workable size with a chainsaw! lol

Sounds a little like Missouri's Osage Orange, better known as Hedge wood.

stormspotter, your not being mushy. I could not agree more. Spending time with loved ones at Easter time is priceless. I for one am gonna take some time off and spend it with my son Ricky and hubby Dave. It will be at the range shooting my Rami with the purdy cool Hakan grips. Count your blessing all and remember they love you.
Hakan take care and we will be here when you come back. Be well my freind.

Yeah..I did try to take few days away from the computer and the workshop last week.We had seven days of Easter break here and I had promissed the boys and the wife to be together this time.Altough my back situation kind of limited my moves, I think I did pretty good.I did managed to sneek back into my workshop to work on some grips last day though
I hope y'all had some good time too
Regards,
Hakan.

Any time with the family beats a good day at work. Hated to go back but I like paydays too much.
Maybe in a couple of years I can retire. With a 7 year old at home, I'm sure I can find something to do.
Can't wait to see more of your handywork.
