Does this gun have the black polycoat finish? I am just asking because I noticed a lot of wear on the finish. Is this normal?

yeah...started out with the polycoat finish..
the finish is pretty tough..but this is an '05 production gun..and I use it in a BladeTech kydex holster.

I do a fair amount of dryfire practice and shoot pretty regularly USPSA and IDPA matches.

I thought that might be the reason. But was not sure. Really nice gun though. I wish I had the chance to shoot that often to the poiint that I wear off the finish on my gun! I used to shoot a hi power, and then went over to a sig p226. Big mistake on my part. The sig seems to be more spot in in terms of accuracy when taking a steady aimed shot, but my small hands don't really fit well with the sig as opposede to the browning. In practical shooting matches, this really hurts me. In Belize, Brownings are no longer availabe, but CZ's are. I am thinking about trying out the sp-01 custom. With duty and taxes, this gun runs about US$2000 more or less down here and takes three months to order. I wish it came in stainless though. Anyway, I think I'm sold on this gun.

Wow, $2,000 for a SP01.  A plain jane SP01 here is about $550.  I don't know about the Custom model.  Good post, I'm getting into USPSA and a CZ SP01 is just what I'm planning on shooting.

Angle view of SP01 with CZ tactical block and M6, worse than getting poked in the eye with a sharp stick.
