New CZ Tactical Sport 9mm

Picked this model up NIB today. Shot a couple hundred rounds. First, let me say it is absolutely dead accurate. The problem is that it fails to extract about 25% of the time. I was shooting MagTech 115 9mm. The range folks said that this gun needs to be broken in and that I should shoot 124 or 147 gr initially.

I tried all 3 mags and had about the same results with this MagTech 115 ammo. The bbl was clean as was the feed ramp.

Tomorrow, I will try the different ammo as recommended by the gunsmith and ROs.

Any other suggestions from you, or your experience with this gun?

Thanks.

Copied both posts from a different forum....this forum is where I'll go for my CZ from now on.

Update: A day later, shot 150 rounds of Fiocchi 147 gr and then 50 rounds of Blazer Alum 115 gr. Not one problem with those 200 rounds. Then, I tried the MagTech 115 gr again, and out of 30 shots had 6 failures to extract. Ironically, for me, the MagTech was the most accurate (by a small margin) of the three.

MagTech does seem to shoot softer. I suppose for now that is the issue. Lighter recoil spring perhaps to shoot "softer" loads?

Congtarulations on a good choice of pistol!

I own both a TS and a ST IPSC in 9mm. I have experienced the same problem as you. Both my guns have been fitted with an extra powerfull extractor spring. -The failure to extract has gone. Wolf gun springs make springs with extra tension. I have gone one step further. The springs I use is far more powerfull and is used for other machinery. I just cut them in the right length and try them out. I have made no other modifications on the gun.

Good luck
