Which division is the CZ75B-SA best suited for ? It looks like Limited and Limited 10 are the only two where it would be legal. Is it competitive in Limited or just in Limited 10 ?
-
Also legal in Open, but you'd probably want to shoot Limited/L-10. Is it 9mm or .40 S&W? The magazine capacity may guide your choice toward Limited-10. I haven't shot a match in too long, but I used to have a lot of fun shooting Limited-10 (major PF) with my 75B .40.
-
Mine's a 9mm, so I have reasonable capacity for Limited, but I'd take the hit for minor scoring.
-
You can also up the capacity for limited with the sp01 magazines.
Yes minor is a small deficitie, but it sure makes you aim.
-
You can do pretty decent even being scored minor, you just need to hit more A's or be that much faster.
I recently won high overall at a club level USPSA match with a 9mm CZ-SA in Limited.
I'd like a nice .40 for limited, but until then I'll shoot what I have and make the best of it.

Here is my CZ75 SA in 40SW..going to use it for L10

and probably shoot it with my 9mm topend with 140 mags for Limited minor.

"Very nice! I like! How much?"
Spoken in my best "Borat" voice.

Hi Bob..
thanks..
I got lucky on this one..
two topends, 9mm and .40SW, six mags for both calibers..custom work and parts for under $850.
pretty good..
-
How's it handle the 40's Stu? Im looking at about the same thing, but Matt is going to do a DA conversion so it will be a DA/SA, but about everything else is the same. I dont know about adding the magwell, cause I'll also be using it for a range/playaround off duty gun, but about the same.
-
I was pretty surprised..it felt pretty good..I was shooting some factory WWB and CCI stuff..and it did not feel bad..my last experience with a .40 in type of gun was a Springfield P9..and that little gun was harsh..but maybe with the beavertail, grips and magwell..my grip is better locked in..
-
So you've been shooting factory stuff instead of match loads, and it still felt pretty good? Nice, I like to hear that.
I heard you had to put a Wolff extra power extr. spring in to make it a little more reliable, anything else besides that or it run as reliable as the SP01's?
-
Hey Kevin..
yeah factory for now..out of my .40 components..till after the holidays..so been blastin through some ready made stuff..
first time out..I couldn't not get good extraction..leaving brass in the chamber and getting a feed behind it...anyway..changed out the extractor spring and couple times since then..all has been good..about 300 rounds trouble free...
I am running a 14# recoil spring it..but I like the lighter springs, rather than overspringing a gun...
let me know how yours comes out..
-
What basepads are you using? And are they mecgar mags (hi-caps)? Thanks. I'm going the same route with the my gun.
-
using MecGar 10rnd mags..fit up 3/8" nylon strip to the bottom of the magazine and sanded to fit..
