Title: basepads?
Post by: loch123 on November 13, 2003, 07:52:06 AM
Hi all.

Anyone know a source of base pads that fit the CZ mags? I shoot IPSC indoors twice a month, and I am getting worried about repeated drops on the concrete floor. I also tend to rest my hand on my mags, which results in rusted mag floor plates.

Any ideas?

Just a suggestion. If you are handy, you can make your own "Custom" mag pads from a good thick mouse pad. The "material" will set you back a whole $5.00 from a well stocked department chain store. You'll need a really sharp scissors or a cutting board and an exacto knife. Note, you can also layer the material for thickness. Made some recently and they turned out great.

not sure which class you're shooting in but if its limited you can use the cpmi hi cap pads out of brownells to get 20 rds in the mag for 9mm.  just a consideration.  it helps significantly to narrow the advantage of the sv/sti crowd.  also to get the 20 rds some modification to the mag may be necessary depending on the manufacturer.
