I used my CZ75b for the first time in competition yesterday at a local IDPA match. I managed to come up first in the SSP MM division. I used the Danish 9mm that SOG has been selling as it is a bit more accurate than the Wal Mart Winchester stuff, at least in my pistol.
My pistol has a Wolf recoil spring (heavier) and Wolf mag springs. I had no malfunctions and the only misses were mine.

Congratulations!! I've been struggling to move up a class, and have missedi it by 2-4 seconds the last couple of times out.
The important question for you: was this a sanctioned match, and were there more than 10 competing in the division/class?
(If so, you automatically get promoted to Sharp Shooter... Its in the Little Green Book.)

Walt,
It was a sanctioned match but there were only four people in my class. I think I can move up if I just shoot another classifier. When I classified in SSP, I used my first Glock, a G22, and was trying to get used to the gun while I shot the course. I feel that if I shoot a classifier now, with either the Glock or my CZ, I will do better than the first time.

John

I used to compete regularly with my CZ75B in IDPA competition. IMO it's the BEST ESP pistol available.
Regretfully I sold my CZ's to fund another project. That mistake will be rectified soon in a P01 purchase and a duo tone 75B in .40 S&W.
Take Care,
