I shot my third IDPA Match yesterday. Out of 73 shooters I came in 40th overall and 4 in my class (SSP, MM). It was loads of fun. Most stages (5 in total) had either something moving or I had to move.
Now I need to work on speed. My 9mm 75B is still being looked at as something different in these parts of California and I am being asked what it is over and over. It works flawlessly with Blazer aluminium "brass" ammo. What can I say, $3.99 a box (on sale locally) and it works real well. I keep thinking of reloading but, at $3.99 it is more fun to just go and shoot.
If you are thinking of shooting IDPA, stop thinking and go. You will meet some really wonderful people and have the time of your life.

I'm also from California
, Where do you purchase that blazer ammo from, I already reload, but for that price I could get lazy, or spend more time at the range.

I live in Folsom and near by in Orangevale is a place called Wild Sports. They advertise in the Sacramento Bee. They occasionally have coupons for Blazer ammo.
