Since the P-01 is selling very hot right now, and will continue to do so as the weather warms up. Here is a pics page for you that already own such, or are interested in buying a P-01. Enjoy!

I just bought mine today! It was a miracle, since it was supposedly out of stock. I went down to the gun store, and there it was, sitting as pretty as could be, in the case. Yay! Here it is!

Thunderhawk81; Nice grips! Who made them? All the guns are great, but they really are special with wood...

Anyone know what the turn around time from them is? Just ordered some, not in a huge rush for them just curious as to what to expect.
-
At least 6 weeks to get them made and shipped to you door from Hungary. That is how long mine took, due to Dennis' wife having their baby earlier this year. But I hear that is becoming the norm. Great grips and worth the wait.

Thanks Jason, I am looking forward to them and at 6 weeks that will make a nice early Christmas present!

ok . . here is my baby . . in OD green. Mods are the DPM mechanical recoil reduction system and Crimson Trace laser grips.

A couple of my P01, polished the hammer, trigger and barrel and the internals for the trigger job. Pull is nice and smooth.

Very nice. Where did you get those grips? Are they a particular style? Those are what I have in mind for mine except I need them in Ash to go with the OD green finish.

Thanks
Grips are from http://marschalgrips.com/ They are walnut, checked w/ thumb rest with a oil finish.

All the nice ideas that I got just from looking at this thread . . . . thanks guys! ;D

Beautiful pistol. Did you do all the polish work yourself? If so, please tell how! Thanks!

That looks nice. Why only the slide and not the frame too? ??? Who did the work also?
Thanks

I wanted a two-tone look. The work was done by Todd at http://www.customizedcreationz.com. See my original thread for the details Original thread here (http://www.czforumsite.info/index.php?topic=20472.new;topicseen#new)
Thanks for the compliments. I think I like the original grips better. After staring at it for a long time. But the wood looks good as well. I like the wood grips better when it was all black. I may just sell the wood and keep the originals.

That is a very nice looking P01.
Here is our green one. Looks a bit different but shoots just as good.

Very nice, I've always liked the green ones!
-
twr3cks... where did the slide come from? looks good.
wetrudgeon... do they have a pewter look in person, or is it just that picture? either way, very nice.
btw, do some of them come with the flat baseplate for the mags? or are those from another models mags?

i've never been a big fan of wood grips on a semi-auto (no one smite me! as i seem to be outnumbered) but those look really good. very nice.
-
The wood grips are "almost" too pretty for a shooter. I'm kind of partial to the tactile feel of the rubber variants on my carry pieces.
Nonetheless, they are indeed gorgeous!

i agree, almost like it should be put up in a showcase with the wood grips.

Hey, ST77 --
BEAUTIFUL GRIPS you got from Marschalgrips! I've gotten grips from him before myself, and love the precision of them. I've decided that I want to get grips _exactly_ like yours... I know you specified the thumbrest and checkering, but what about the CZ logo? Did you have to specify that as well, or is that 'included' in the checkering on his order page?
thanks!
-
LOVE ST77's and stony's grips
-
Thanks Bob.
-
Stony, your picture seem to be broken, and considering that you got complimented on your wooden grips, I want to see what the fuss is about. :)
Please re-link the picture, if you can.
Casey
Also, I am thinking about some grips for the P-01, but i need to see how the stock grips feel in my hand, to tell if i need to go thinner or fuller (more full?)
The holster I ordered from Fist Inc. is Cordovan, which they say is so dark brown it's almost black. Some wooden grips stained dark dark brown, but with a lot of wood grain could be a pretty nice match.

Those grips look really nice on the P-01. I may look into getting a set for myself. How thin does it make it feel?
Jason 8)
-
They do feel thinner than the CZ Cocobolos overall. But I believe the CZ cocobolos are a little thinner on the top part of the grip and a little thicker on the bottom end. Both are pretty comfortable, but I find the aluminum grips feel thinner overall.

Hey ........the green PO1 looks very sweet. Where did you pick up the color ?
-
thats very nice!! if you dont mind me asking, how much were the laser grips? and does it make that much of a diference at the range?
-
This is my P-01 with my new grips from Marschalgrips.com, and with the barrel polish job using my dremel tool. The Marschal Grips were ordered with walnut wood, and a dark red stain, that was supposed to also be a bit glossy, and not too dry or matte looking.
-
Perfect ......... ;D

Here is mine....Love it. This thing is so accurate!

I'm looking to add a P-01 to my growing collection of CZs. Seen a few OD green versions on this page and I really like them. Is this a factory option or custom work? Would appreciate any information. Thanks.

i've read that only 500 were made!
their getting hard to find in the classifieds!

Here's my P-01 with my Charles Daly .45
P-01 and Hazel Leather holster was involved in a motorcycle wreck at 65+ mph, barrel and slide crammed with georgia red clay and holster scuffed a bit, but after a little cleaning, it still shoots teeny holes in paper, and i can chase a Pepsi can all the way down the 50m range. i actually like the scuffs on my sidearm, reminds me it's not a Safe Queen!

Just received my P-01 from Top Gun.The slide actually reads "CZ-75 D compact" (but not "PCR"). It has a light rail, which the D PCR does not, and in all respects as far as I can tell it is a P-01 in D's clothing (Euro version of the P-01?). NATO NSN is there on the slide and the box it came in called it a P-01 (serial number on box and gun matched). Thought at first that I'd been sent the wrong model, but was assured by Top Gun that it is indeed a P-01. Took it to the range today and put 50 rds thru it. Call it anything you like; this is one GREAT pistol. This is the beginning of a long love affair I think. Smooth, amazingly accurate, good looking, feels perfectly balanced in my hand, and kicks like a kitten. Not even a hint of a FTF or FTE in the first 50. Why would anyone pay 3, 4, 5 times the price for a different 9MM when they can own a CZ-75? Beyond me.
-
ST77 did your grips have the finger cuts? It looks that way but you didnt mention it earlier when someone asked you about them.
thanks

what grips are on it?

Thanks. Aluminum thin grips wrapped with Brooks Tactical Agrip. It locks into your hand. I wish the grips were a little cheaper so we could experiment with different materials. O0

I'm interested in purchasing a compact CZ in 9mm. I like the look of the PO-1. I can't find a dealer around here that stocks the CZ's, so I'm thinking of ordering one sight unseen from Bud's, where I got my single action. I have a CZ75 B SA, which I like very much, but I'm now looking for a smaller, compact piece to join it. I have smaller hands, and grip size of my 75 SA is o.k. for me, but I would like a more comfortable handle that would be a little thinner in circum . I tried different size, and thinner wood grips from the CZ Custom Shop on my 75 SA, but I went back to the factory stock grips, for I grip the gun more securely with them on the pistol. my question, would the PO-1 frame be thinner in the grip than my 75 SA, or is the 9mm compact PO-1, and the 75 Compact basically the same size pistol as my 75 SA, but with only a shorter barrel, and height? Would the Compact 75, and the compact PO-1 grip the same as my SA, or a little thinner in the handle? Thanks, TC
-
I bought a P01 for that very reason. I have somewhat smaller hands. The standard 75 feels better than most guns to me, but the P01 feels like it was made for me. I haven't measured anything, but I can tell you it feels a little smaller.
