From a quick look into the book "Know your Czechoslovakian Pistols" by R.J. Berger pp 57-58, I see that the proof mark is supposed to be on the LH side of the trigger guard, above the caliber marking. yours has none. more than that I cannot tell you. I am not a collector.
The above book said this gun was a popular piece. Manufacture was interrupted by the War, then resumed after with a slightly simplifies design.
By the way, this book is for sale at Marstar's web site, and maybe elsewhare.

I have nothing of value to add to this post, but do have some questions:
What is the grip made out of? Are they wood, or is it some type of bakelight material?
Am I seeing that gun right insofar as I don't see any sights on it?
-Spazz
P.S. Kewl! How does it shoot?
-
Spazz, it's a .25 caliber -- sights are often not there on these small guns. I won't quote you what Jeff cooper writes about the .25 caliber pistol.

Is there a safety lever located on the left side of the frame above the trigger? Are there any German commercial trademarks on your gun, such as the "shooting man" mark of the German AKAH? Can you e-mail me pics at: GunLovR2@webtv.net?

Anyone know where I might find a copy or reprint of an owner's manual for a .25 Cal CZ pistol? I was just given one that belonged to my grandfather. I will probably look good in a display case, but I would like to disassemble and clean it.

If you have a CZ 45, now the CZ 92, then here's a link to the CZ factory manual. http://stevespages.com/pdf/cz92.pdf (http://stevespages.com/pdf/cz92.pdf) The basics should be the same. If you have a CZ DUO, then I'm not sure where you can go.
I hope that helps!
