Title: Ambi Safety, CZ 40B
Post by: jaypee2 on April 12, 2008, 12:10:19 PM
Is there an ambi safety or an add-on right side safety available for the 40B? I've posted a review of the pistol on several websites and get this question a lot from left handed shooters. I'm having a hard time getting an answer. Anybody?

Not that we know of, but CZ-USA has been telling folks that the standard 75Bs can be converted to ambi-safeties.  You might contact them and see if that's a possibility for the 40B.  Many of the parts are similar or the same.

JP2,

Have you heard anything from CZ-USA yet on this subject. I would very much like to have one on my 40B.

Thanks.

I checked with Jim Miossi about having this done to my 40B which he already has done an action job on. His response was:

"The CZ 40 cannot be fitted with the CZ 85 ambi safety as they use a totally
different safety retention system. There is no aftermarket part that I know of."

Oh well, maybe sometime in the future.Good shooting.
