Title: Is the CZ 40B slide interchangeable with 75b or SP-01 frame?
Post by: rvbgtr on May 25, 2008, 06:47:12 AM
Anyone know if the CZ 40B slide can be used on a 75b or SP-01 9mm frame?

Thanks,

I'll bet you're looking for a cheap way to upgrade another 75-based gun to .40...

No.  No interchangeability.

That's generally true with the .40 versions of the 75B, too.  While the guns will "ALMOST" fit on the 9mm frame, something never quite works right on nearly all of the guns.  Most will slide on part way, but not all the way.

I personally believe this has been deliberate on CZ-UB's part. They take a lot of pride in the fitting of their pistols, and offering conversions sort of undermines that entire approach. Also, I suspect the mentality may be "Tanfoglio copies CZ, not the other way around." This is all speculation on my part, of course.
