What problem do these ss guide rods solve?
What benefit do they bring?
Here's what the CZ custom shop states about this accessory:
"CZ 75 Stainless Steel Guide Rod Full length steel guide rod for the CZ 75/85 family These have been modified to fit in the Sp01, CZ 75 without further modification These may be a little awkward to install using the Flat Wire Spring We suggest purchasing the Wire Recoils Spring The Flat on the back of the guide rod needs to be aligned with the feet of the barrel for installation Slide must already have the hole drilled for long guide rod."

You might want to check out this option also. I have the DPM recoil rod reducer in my Shadow and I can recommend it highly. For me it was more about protecting the frame when shooting +P rounds but it works so well I just leave it in the gun.

The gun is plenty heavy without the additional steel guide rod. ;)

What parts of the gun impact each other as the slide recoils?
Does the back side of the dust cover impact the frame's two barrel bolsters (the two thick squared off parts of the frame that the barrel lug/ramp fits between)?
