When you press the mag release should the mag drop down at all. Mine does not. It does not even move. Just wondering since it is a used gun.
-
Yes, it should drop down, unless you are using brand new mags with the gun. They could need to wear for a little bit first (at least mine did).
-
I am useing 2 new MEC-GAR mags. I stuck an old mag of unknow make in and it drops about 1/4 of an inch. There are some visable bends in the Mag brake.
-
Check the mag break. If it does not have cuts in both sides like this one in the link below, I suggest replacing it.
Angus competition mag break (http://czcustom.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=78&products_id=342&osCsid=e4abf3aeee2486105b72c1bf7def0fd2). Probable you have this one: CZ original mag break (http://czcustom.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=78&products_id=409&osCsid=e4abf3aeee2486105b72c1bf7def0fd2)

Nice. Angus has some cool stuff for the CZ. I might have to get one of those after I see how the gun proforms.
My mag brake has some creases in it. I think it might have been altered or damaged a bit. I'll try to post some pics later.
-
The creases come from shoving mags in at an angle. The mags are hitting the break and the back of feed lips are hanging and bending the break. Been there and done that at a major match. Just lucky enough to be squadded with Matt Mink and he fixed the problem short term.

That wouls be frustrating. Does the gun function with the brake removed?
-
This entry (http://www.czforumsite.info/index.php?topic=14713.0) in the FAQ section might be of interest to folks here. In short, the two creases or bends in the mag brake are normal in a stock 75B/BD and are designed to prevent the mag from falling free when the mag release is pressed.

Thanks for the help. I removed it an tweeked it per the FAQ section and all is well.
