Hello all, fairly new to the forum, but have been doing a lot of reading. As the title says, I took the plundge today and put in an order for a SP01 Custom from Angus, with the LPA White outline sights. Now for the worst part, the WAIT....
Can anyone recommend a holster setup, both IWB and Shoulder? Any idea about finish wear/durability?

You are going to carry a Custom Shop SP-01? Did you tell them to leave the firing pin block in and not do a 2 lb trigger pull? I'm curious.
For IWB, nothing better than a Comp-Tac CTAC for me. Can't help you with the shoulder holster.

Sorry, had been up for a long while when I posted.
The custom will probably not get carried, but would always want the option, though a holster for competitive shooting might be needed. I assumed if the holster would fit the SP01 Custom, that it would fit other CZ 75's as well. I am actually looking forward to the 2lb trigger, but that is only in SA, DA would be how I would carry if I did carry it. As far as the FPB, did not plan on them leaving it, could not find enough info to justify.

go to the FIST HOLSTER web site.
have bought 4 from them. all #41's.In the waste band small of back,j-hook belt hook.
carry 46 oz. Kimber, 40 oz. XD-40, and will order one for my new SP-01 that i'm buying on monday.
Its all in the belt,must be double thickness.You don't need gun belt [$70+] just double thick.Try cabella's [<$40 ]
Fist makes both leather and Kydex.I use Kydex because i live in the south and it doesn't sweat. The Kydex is not the real thick stuff you see
prepackaged in the gun stores--- but very thin-- then they have thinner. Or leather.
See their gun list, every holsyer is custom fit, these holster CARRY GREAT. They have fifty other styles, and show 12 different CZ's that they fit for.
THANKS,
DAVID

A gun with full length rails (P-01, SP-01) is probably NOT going to fit in a holster for the std CZ 75 design. You need to go to the forums that cover the exact model and do a search, my friend.

Jamie; I also recently ordered a Custom Shop SP01 with hammer/trigger job. I chose the custom 01 over the Shadow because of the firing pin block. Rob at Ghost told me that with the custom work my 01 would end up with an 8lb. DA and a 3lb SA even with leaving the FPB intact. Even tho the trigger won't be quite as buttery or break as crisply, I need the extra margin of safety to feel comfortable. But then I tend to be a "glass-half-full" type. Rob tried hard to convince eme to get the Shadow. I hope I did the right thing. Enjoy the new CZ!!

Blade-Tech for the IWB. Best holsters I've seen yet and carry my 75 Compact in one every day.
Not sure on the shoulder rig, but High Noon is the only one I know of molding a shoulder rig for the SP01.

Hey Jackman,
When Rob was trying to convince you to get a Shadow, did he ever mention the possibility of putting a FPB in a Shadow to satisfy your safety concerns?
Anybody seen this done? Does this give you a trigger equivalent to what a vanilla SP01 would have? Is a Shadow slide even capable of accommodating a FPB?
I ask because I'm interested in the frame, control, and sight differences of the Shadow, but would probably rather have a FPB in place for carry.

Shadow cannot take a FPB..if you want a FPB..get the SP01 or SP01 Tactical
-
Dangit! Can't have it all at once then, huh? Guess I'll just save some $$ and put the Shadowy stuff on a regular SP-01.
On ghostholster.com the tactical rear sight mentions that it requires a taller front sight. Is there a tritium front sight that is the right height?
-
FDE: I asked Rob the same question in an email and he never responded. I put the F/O front on mine with Tac rear. Drop Rob an email and see if he answers :D
-
If Rob or the site publisher were to work up and maintain (as more questions come in) a thorough and well indexed FAQ, he wouldn't have to deal with our repetitious silly questions.
-
FDE: I just heard from Rob. The Tactical rear sight requires a 6.5mm front sight. The tritium front sight is 5.5mm. He didn't say how to accomplish getting an asppropriate height front tritium sight on the gun. Let me know if you figure it out. Good luck.
