I have done some searching on this but still not sure I totally understand. For the SP-01 with the decocker, does the decocker lower the hammer to the half-cock position or full down position?
-
halfcock..

Thanks much!! That's good news.
One other thing that I forgot to ask. I'm not familiar with the CZ single action only pistols - I'm a RAMI & P-01 guy. In the SA only pistols, I'm assuming that you have to manually cock the hammer for the first shot. Is this correct?
I'm giving the SP-01 w/decocker some very serious consideration.
Edit: Ok. Probably dumb way in which I asked the question above. So, to put it differently, I assume the SP-01 w/decocker has no "disconnector". Is this correct?
-
yes on the SA pistol you have to cock the hammer..
the disconnector is also called the DA DA connector. it is what connects the hammer to the trigger bar for the DA stroke. so yes in the decocker model there is a disconnector.

Whooooooooa! Just got of the CZ-USA site & the CZ (Czech) site. The SP-01 Tactical (w/decocker) on the CZ-USA site is listed as single action and on the CZ (Czech) site it is listed as SA/DA?
HELP?? Which is it??
-
DA/SA

I have the SP-01 Tactical and it's a great gun. Like eerw said it's most definetly SA/DA. I hope you go with the SP-01 Tactical. I'm sure you will like it as much as I do. Good shooting.

Thanks everyone for the answers. The Tactical looks like a sure bet.
