Any body got one of these? How do you like it? Ammo easy to come by? Thanks, John

I've got 3!! One is chrome plated :o in 7.62 x 25 (with custom grips and a ported barrel); one is parkerized in 7.62 x 25 and the third is an importer converted 9mm. I love them! 7.62 x 25 isn't real hard to find, but you'll probably have to go to a gunshow or two to find some. I really like Sellier and Bellot or Winchester (which is made by S&B). It shoots well and accurately in both of my 7.62 x 25's.

After newer better rollers, firing pin, springs, and some delicate dremel use, it's one of my CCW pistols. Reliable, and a tack driver. With Wolf Gold 85gr hollow points it's about equivalent to a .357 ;D

I had gotten two of these back five or so years ago when I first got my C&R and they were cheap. I forgot who now but one member here used to make some decent wood grips which really helped me. I don't shoot 'em all that much, while very cool I have a PCR (and a PO1 now, traded in one CZ52 and a 40P for it). While the 52 is quite a "kick" it's no doubt a Military weapon and while KISS does not compare to a modern 9mm, of course it will (blow through a brick wall I hear). I've never bothered with the new "firing pin" as it always fires. I don't dare trust the de-cocker. I usually shoot the S&B 7.62 X 25 fairly clean stuff, mind you, the flash will blind you at night. I have a tin of Romanian 1980's Surplus, said to be good stuff, as yet sealed. Got a good deal a year ago paid like $100 for the 1,224 round tin, holding on to it for 2012 and the end of the world(?) J&G still has the tins for $137.70 as I recall the CZ52 I kept was a 1954 model (like me) and is the cooler lookin' grey IMHO. I really think the custom wood grips add alot to the comfort of the gun. Even if one pays $150 for this gun it's quite the big bang for the buck. The gun alone was worth getting my C&R for, come to think of it it's about all I have ever done with my C&R ??? well the CZ52 and an SKS, I might not be able to hit my target but if anyone needs covering fire :o let me know. 8)

Does anyone have an idea where on the net these can be found for sale and what a good price for once in good shape would be...all the usual source don't list them anymore...
Thanks

I thought everybody had one or two....or more of these. Great handgun for the money. I have had these for several years and purchased them with my C&R really cheap at the time. Price have gone up considerably but they are still a good buy for a tough ruggid 7.62x25 handgun. Never had any issues with either one. I replaced the weak factory firing pins with new hardened steel pins and its all been good.

You use to be able to get these for as little as $70, but usually around $130. It was an unbelievable deal back then and I still beat my head against the wall for having not taken advantage of those prices and picked up a half a dozen or so.
Now that the supply is dried up, they cost around $250-$300 whenever you're lucky enough to find one, but I still think that's a good deal. With a little tune-up and/or a few parts replacements, it'll outperform many guns that cost as much as $1000 or more. Think about it this way. They were in numerous supply at very cheap ($150 or less) from many distributors all over the country for over a decade. Now that the supply has dried up, you don't see many for sale. Only one reason for that. The many people who have them have no interest in parting with them. That says something.

Try SOG or Century, they usually have them.

Neither Century or SOG have 52's listed right now and the best price on any of the auction sites is $180.00. The two great C&R buys out there right now are the CZ 82 (disappearing fast) and the Tokarev in all it's different versions. Two great non C&R buys right now are the P-64 and the PA-63. Get them now or you will regret it a year from now.
