I picked up a CZ P-07 today .I bought my first gun about 4 months ago which was a XD .45 Tactical which i love. Since then i have bought a Ar15 and mossberg 500 this is a never ending sprial. I had been looking for a Sa/Da and found i liked the fnp-9 but couldnt findone in my area. Tonight i was at Academy and saw this one and felt it and fell in love. Im heaing to do some hog hunting this weekend so that wil be the first time i can shoot it not forthe hogs just to shoot. So far from what i read i like what i see . i cant wait to get out an try it .

Alright you guys ........ stop trying to convince me to buy a 97. I have all this 9mm ammo ...... and I would have to use more $$ to purchase .45 if i had a P-07.
They are a beautiful piece of work !

I have discovered that CZs tend to multiply... ;D

Remember, it's not an addiction to make a wish list of firearms you want, then, when finances allow, buy the next on the list. Welcome to the addiction. First, it's the P-07, then you have to have, it's a critical imperitive for the CZ afficianado to have a 75, a pre-B is a must if you can find one in good condition, and don't forget the C&R pistols, the 52 is a blast to shoot, the muzzle blast is a real fireball, the 82 is a great carry pistol.

And after the pistol collection you need to start on the rifles. ;D Can't say enough good about the VZ-58's. Dusty 8)

Best of luck with your CZ P-07 and welcome to the forum. I'm afraid that now that you have been bitten by the gun bug it will only get worse.

Bought the CZ P-07 at a gunshow about three weeks ago. Saw it for the first time, after holding it and looking it over on a Saturday and researching it. I went back on Sunday and made the buy. ($475) After two trips to the range ~200 rds, no FTF and no regrets. I have a Colt Commander, Berreta 84 and had a Taurus 92. Have been reluctant to buy a polymer gun because I'm old school or whatever you want to call it. Like the idea for carry gun of first round DA to SA. Preference thing, not trying to start that debate. Finally decided to try a polymer and went with the XDM 9MM about 3 months ago. Have to say that I have not been disappointed, and gave in on the DA to SA because I was so impressed with it. I can honestly say that if I had found the P-07 I would not own a XDM, will keep the XDM though because it is a great gun and no regrets either. P-07 is perfect for CCW or home defense and ideal for the wife as well. The Beretta 84 was for the wife, but the P-07 is almost as compact with 16 rds of 9mm vs 13 of .380 so it is the home defense gun now. While I haven't shot it side by side with the 84 (.380 like gold right now) I don't believe the recoil is much different and seems less than the XDM (slightly).
Some P-07 obsevations:
Fit/Finish: Comparable to XDM which seems to be universally top rated.
Accuracy: I would rate myself above average, but no where near expert. The XDM is as accurate a handgun as I have shot and the P-07 is not far behind and possibly better. Impressed the two range masters I have let fire it and one is as good a shot I have seen. Only fired 200 rds so far, but shoots dead on at 7 yards across the 3 of us who have shot it.
sightsNot crazy about the U rear sight, definitely like the XDM's better. Given the P-07 can be had for $428 at Buds can't knock it too much for this though or the fact that they are not adjustable. For that matter for CCW fixed is fine IMHO.
TriggerSA trigger pull is sweet for a sub $500 out of the box gun, this along with how it felt in my hand were the two things that gave me the gotta have it now itch. Never really been that critical of DA pull, so only comment is that I am fine with it, but not the person to talk about creep, grittiness and such.
Really like the decocker, it allows you to ease the hammer down as opposed to my 84 that just drops it.
Squared trigger guard is fine by me, would also like it rounded.
Added a Pachmayr Grip Glove (CZ 75 fits perfect) I wear Large size gloves and this makes it the perfect fit for my hand. If you have medium size hands I think you'll find it is fine without it. I'll post some pictures (grip glove and next to the XDM when I get a chance)
Really can't say enough about this gun. I looked at Sig and H&K and P-07 has them all beat IMHO for feel/pointability at a much better price to get the DA/SA I was looking for. I concur with the others that have said they think CZ has a winner.

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and CZ, but not to guns in general. I just purchased a P-07 and am happy with it so far. It shoots well and more accurate than me, but there is too much travel in the trigger to reset it in DA mode. Hopefully that can be fixed. I also would have perferred the safety to work with the hammer decocked as well, so I guess that I will stick to the decocker. I'm going to use the P-07 to try and qualify with SLED this weekend. I'll post the results. In the meantime I am going to try and put another 100 rounds through it to break it (or me) in.

gunsmoke_25 ......... very accurate and informative Post !
I have two CZ's, and my wife an XD-40, due to her job as a reserve police officer, but she loves my 75D P-01 compact 9mm. I keep her away from my 75 stainless (female fingerprints). ;D

Alright, I took the P-07 to the range today and had good results. Out of 64 rounds, all but 5 were in the center and 9 ring. The 5 that were out were all in the eight ring. I shot in intervals from 3 yards to 25 yards. The only problem I encountered was that the magazines would not drop out of the gun.
