Picked up a new CZ 75 SP-01, 9mm (01152) this weekend. It has 3 slots on the accessory rail, like is shown on the Tactical and it has night sights, like comes on the Tactical but it does not say Tactical on the slide and it has a safety...not a decocker. Has anyone else picked one up lately in this configuration? (date code on target - March, 09) Is this the new standard configuration? "Not that there's anything wrong with that"
Looks like they are using one frame going forward (Tactical) and they have added night sights or I got a mistake from the factory... in my favor. The US website does not show night sights as an option on the 01152.
I noticed the CZ-USA website does not list the Tactical anymore but you can get a SP-01 with a decocker and night sights that has the same product number (SKU) 01153 as did the previous Tactical shown in the 2008 brochure. Haven't seen any SP-01's in the stores for so long...I forgot how they were configured. Didn't stop me from buying it though.......
CZUB site still shows the Tactical though.

My new SP01 came just as you described (NS, Safety, Rail). Mine was made in 09 as well.

You can get the SP-01 several different ways; the Shadow of course, the SP-01 with manual safety and the options you described, and the SP-01 Tactical which is the same as yours but has the decocker. Hope this helps. I went with the SP-01 Tactical because I have the P-01 and wanted another gun with a decocker.

I bought my SP-01 in Oct 08. The stickers on the box had all been covered over with new stickers and I'm unable to see what the original ones have on them but it's listed as a model 01152. I had wanted the 01153 (Tactical) but it was not available at that time. This model 01152 came with two 19 round mags and Night sights but no mag loader. It's marked as an 08 model. I love the gun and have not had any problems with it except that I can't get more than 18 in the mags (with a mag loader) and the cartridges rattle with 18 but not 17 in the mags. But it's not a big deal. I bought a few 16 round Mec-Gars for $19/each and I like them possibly better. There are not many CZ Dealers in my area so I had to order it - $550 plus tax at the time. I recently (last week) saw a CZ Shadow at my local Bass Pro Shop. It was the only one they had and in fact the only CZ gun they had in stock. $629 which might seem high but not considering the times we are in at present. Of Course they were all out of 9mm ammo.

CZ stopped packing some of the goodies that used to come with their pistols. They don't give you the loader or snap caps anymore. I guess they want to save every penny they can. :D I love my CZ's anyway.
