Title: New PO7 Owner...
Post by: Zio667 on August 11, 2009, 05:58:05 PM
I bought this gun a couple months ago, it is my first handgun.  I chose it mostly based on the price, and the reputation CZ has for quality.  However, after reading these forums I'm a bit worried.  My mags drop just fine, loaded or empty.  Trigger feels decent.  But one thing I do notice is "the bulge" many of you are complaining about.  I can also foresee my guide rod falling apart in the future.  My serial number does start with a 5.  Is this a sign of bad things to come?  Did I buy the wrong gun?

I originally wanted an XD 9, but the CZ was $100 less, and the guy behind the counter had nothing but good things to say about CZ.  I also really like the decocker, and DA/SA trigger.  Plus, this gun just feels great in the hand.  I think I picked up every gun on the market right now when I was looking for one, and the PO7 definitely fits me the best.

Maybe the forums are just making me paranoid, and making me look for problems that are hopefully just cosmetic...

Shoot it before you get fearful, several people here have stated they have shot thiers with no issues. Mine went through 103 rounds the other day without any problems. Give it a chance.

My P-07 did have problems. See "P-07 Range report 8/9/09" in the P-07 Club.

But my mags worked perfectly. No guide rod issues.

I sent it back to CZ today. I, too, bought the CZ because of price AND reputation. After talking with CZ-USA I feel confident that they will either fix my P-07 or replace it. I only put 15 rounds through mine, but it was dead on as long as i did my part.

I refuse to let my P-07 go, barring some major problem in the future. AND I had the opportunity to fire a friends CZ 75B again yesterday. How sweet it was! I sold my Glock today. I will have a CZ 75B in my hands by 10:00 a.m. EST tomorrow!! Yipee!!

should I call CZ if I have the bulge?  Are they repairing/replacing due to this issue?

My P-07 went back in for some trigger issues. Hammer would not fall in SA. When I spoke to CZ I also told them about the bulge in my frame. They didn't comment on it, just switched me to another person to get RA# and shipping info. I typed up a letter that detailed the gun's problems, including the bulge and placed the letter in the case. I would call them about the problem.

I'll update on here on anything I hear.

The ones being sent back for the "bulge" haven't been there long enough for us to know what the issue or fix (if need be) is yet.
