Here is the initial Novak adjustable sight install for a 75. I wanted to be able to precisely adjust my sights for exact POA/POI with different loads. I'm not through yet, still have some work to do on the sight. I plan on doing some cutting on the sight itself to blend in the sharp edges. I will re-post when I'm through. Kinda' neat to have a serrated target type fully adjustable sight.
I cut .060" off the sight base, and about .020" off the slide.

Here's a close up from a different angle:

schmeky,
Great idea. I think I'll do the same. Who'd you buy the sight from?
-
I like the Novak, where'd you get it and how much? I'm looking at an adjustable rear sight also but I saw an lpa in cheaper than dirt, does anyone know if the lpa is any good?
I need the sight to withstand some heavy training and be very durable.
I like the grips you have on your cz what are they? hogue? pachmar? etc.
oops!...found the info I needed about the lpa sights in another thread... ::)

Strange, I was on the Novak website just last night and the only sights I saw listed for CZ were for the CZ52. I wanted 75B/Compact sights, nothing I could find there. Which sight did you use? Thanks

Schmeky,
Did you have to get your dovetail milled for that sight or was it a push in? Are you aware if it can be had in a white outline?

I am milling my own dovetail, I have a mini-milling machine. I found a really impressive fully adjustable sight; it fits the Springfield Armory Custom Shop 1911's and is made by LPA. One of the best looking sights I have ever seen. Midway USA has them for around $45.00, what a bargain for this sight.
I orginally cut the sight base to keep from removing so much metal from the slide, but I have decided to go ahead and do a full Noval cut on my 75/.40. The full depth of cut is .230" and I cut down to .205" this evening. I plan on doing the final .025" tomorrow evening then make the final 65 degree cuts.
I don't know if anyone has ever done a full Novak cut on a CZ, so I decided to find out if it will work. I called Novak sights and the guy I spoke with said he couldn't ever remember doing a CZ-75.
I think this is going to be a fantastic looking sight on a CZ. I'll post pics when I'm finished. I may do my CZ-97 if this turns out as good as I think it will.
LPA makes a sight that fits the stock CZ dovetail, but it doesn't look as good as this Springfield Custom unit. Besides, there are tons of different sights for a Novak cut.
