Title: .32 ACP?
Post by: mgman269 on October 27, 2009, 11:29:00 AM
Time to ask the experts (I hope).

I am interested in an 82 or 83, but I want to find one in .32 ACP. I have as yet been unable to find one. Am I looking in the wrong places or are these really that hard to find? It must be blue or black finished...

A few questions:
Will I be able to find magazines?
What is the mag capacity in .32?
What type of rifling will it have?

Thanks everyone!

for a .32 you will have to go with a CZ83. Start your search there.

The commercial model CZ 83 came in .32, .380, and 9x18 calibers (and better finishes too).

The CZ 82 only came in 9x18 Mak. With that butt ugly enameled finish we love to hate!  ;D

I purchased a .32 CZ83 blue from manofsteel a couple of months ago.  He is close to CZ and may be able to get you one.  My wife loves the .32, never-a hiccup, and accurate. Ammo is $5.50 to $6.00 per 50 and the mag holds 15, rifling is normal groove not poly like the CZ82.

And those reasons you mention are some of why I want one in .32 as opposed to 9x18. And let me be clear (LOL), I am a fan of the MAK round. I have several East German Makarovs and think highly of the round. I also have several .32s and thought a 15 round gun, with slightly better penetration, might be nice to have.

A question, are the ones like your wife's available blued or only the satin (satan?) nickel?

If you can find it, get it.  This is a great centerfire plinker.  I suggest you read my ammo post from about a century ago.  It still holds true.

I got my wife the Blued version because the .32 was only imported in Blue, but I think some nickel versions were made for Europe. Not long ago Dan's guns had some .32's for $359 in Nickel, which he picked up in Europe. Start with the Classified here on CZ Forum and two links brings you to Dan's.

Hi Wolfee - Read your Ammo report prior to buying the .32, took heed (S&B, PRiva, and Fiocci) like the Priva best but never had a hiccup with any of them. Thanks

I picked up a CZ83 in 32 acp from Dan's Ammo last week.  All I can say is TERRIFIC.  Dan was super nice to deal with, shipping was very fast, and the pistol is absolutely brand new and beautiful.  I only had a chance to put a half dozen rounds through it over the weekend.  As we were breaking up deer camp I threw some pears out into the field.  Once I figured out the sights (6 o'clock hold) the pears were blown up and gone before I could finish off a magazine.  I am confident the this little gem will live up to the reputation for accuracy associated with this fixed barrel design.

Dan said he had fewer than a half dozen left.  Don't wait.  I don't believe CZ has made 32's for the US market in a long time.  You may not get another chance.

If you get one, keep your eyes peeled for ammo deals.  A few years ago I picked up 1000 rounds of surplus FN 7.65 for about $80.  I will be shooting my new CZ83 for long time.

Title: Re: .32 ACP? Easy Loader
Post by: drd on November 10, 2009, 05:04:52 PM
Hi Guys - Maybe you already do it but just in case: I filed the front 3/8" or so of the beak on my Luplula loader, about a 1/16" or so from each side.

The Luplula now loads the CZ 83 in .32 as well as the S&W 1911 in 9mm, I can't even imagine trying to load the mags by hand.

Just eyeball it and file it,  until the beak no longer touches the metal of the mag lips.  I used a Dremel.
