Well, I finally have my range report on my newly-acquired pre-B CZ75. My first range session last week produced a good group but it was two inches to the left. A minor rear sight adjustment later and it is shooting great! I was part of the range detail today for our individual weapons qualification at guard drill. Most of us have M9's (we're tankers) so I brought the CZ along. After everyone qualified some of us shot for fun. The CZ shot much better than my issued Beretta. In fact, I even attempted the M16 25 meter course of fire with it. I missed a few (very tiny sillouettes), but would have earned a sharpshooter score had it counted. We then plinked for a bit at some golfballs left there. That little pistol was bouncing them at least 8 out of ten times at 25 meters. Function was flawless. I only wish I had attempted a pistol qualification with it. I qualified expert with the Beretta (proud of that because it was a perfect score to boot), but I'm sure that the CZ would have turned in a tighter group. I'd sure like to meet the guy who sold that used CZ to the gun store (maybe not though; crazy people are scary and unpredictable).
Regards,
Eric
