Shot my first Texas Stare. Got it in a little over 6 seconds with 6 shots. About 2 seconds slow for the shooters who practice shooting it. I was running my SP01 Tactical from CZ Custom Shop.

First Star and you took it down in 6 shots? I'd say that is very good! Congrats.

If that's your first TX Star you've embarrassed many of us. Great job!

Another shooter gave me a tip. Shoot the top 3 as fast as you can and I hit them bang, bang, bang. If you look at the first picture you see an arrow on the star. That is the position the star was set at for each shooter. It worked. ;D

6 shots and 6 seconds on a first star is an amazing time! Once you shoot them a couple of times though they are not scary anymore and are actually pretty fun.
My favorite thing clubs do with the star is put a no-shoot hostage target at the base of the star. This means you don't have a lot of time to shoot the last couple of targets before the star loses momentum and drops the target behind the star. It's fun!
