Title: CZ-82's On Sale @ Century
Post by: Owenslee on July 12, 2010, 01:28:23 PM
For those with a C&R liscense...Century just posted a July "mid-month"  special on good condition CZ-82's.

If you buy two....you save about $15 per pistol over normal dealer price.

Each pistol comes with two mags, lanyard, and cleaning rod.

Part number HG-1247-G

The ones I ordered on their last sale were all in VG condition with a couple in excellent condition....except where they were impact stamped with the CAI import markings.

All magazines were in VG to like new condition. The fact that you get two mags as opposed to only one from some sources makes this an even better deal as a second used mag is typically worth $30.

These are nice little pistols which might be just perfect for a novice who wants something for home defense and doesn't want to spend a lot of money. They are safe, easy to operate and shoot well. These little gems are not going to be around for ever. How much does that work out per pistol?

Less than $200 per pistol, delivered, with a C&R.

If'n you have to go through a dealer (01 FFL) you'll have to add on what he charges.

When you buy 2 it works out to about $181 per pistol delivered for those with a 01 FFL or a 03 C&R license.

Anyone who has in interest in collecting firearms should apply for a C&R license.  $30 for three years is a no brainer. Plus suppliers such as Brownells, Midway and Graf and Sons will allow any C&R to buy other supplies or ammo at dealer prices.

Got mine in yesterday.
Not bad for the price.
Not as nice as my handpick from Aim put worth the money at this price.

I have (14) of the CZ-82's from Century and they all have import markings.

BATF requires import markings on all current imported weapons.

However some are identified by their original serial numbers and for reasons I do not understand...about half of them have a second / different serial number dot matrix stamped on the forward edge of the frame's grip area.

Yep...

10 were ordered on a Century quantity special that worked out to $175 each delivered.. These were marked "good" condition...with 4  ending up being good to very good and 6 were VG to excellent.

Then I took a chance and ordered 4 of the "poor incomplete" guns...not knowing what to expect. These turned out to be a steal...All four were missing the slide stop and slide stop springs but ALL had new barrels and 3 of the 4 had new grips. The guns themselves rated good to excellent. I have no idea why they were graded as "poor" as they were in many respects better than the VG complete guns bought for $175.
AND...the "poor incomplete" guns were only $85 each with shipping... ;D

Unfortunately the "poor incomplete" CZ-82's are all sold out...or I would buy more.

It really pays to have a C&R to build your collection at minimal expense.

The supply on these will dry up in the not too distant future.  Good for those who are getting theirs now! I wonder how much the spring and slide stop will cost to purchase..   Are these the most often broken parts?

I bought the needed slide stops new from CZ-USA for $35 and the slide stop springs from Norm Sutton for $5

Norm Sutton is awesome, I wish I had ordered more than I did, just in case.
