Title: CZ MARKINGS AND ORIGIN?
Post by: bobsleatherworks on August 12, 2010, 07:55:46 PM
I recently purchased an older, beat up CZ82...love it, but haven't fired it yet.

Regardless, I know millions were made and hopefully someone can help me learn something from the markings on the slide and the SN.

SN: 146595 on the slide and barrel

"she 89X" on the right side of frame above trigger guard

small circle with a "T" inside and inside a larger circle up at the 11:00 position

small circle that could be a "T" inside it and on the barrel in front of and slightly above the SN. Top of "T" is worn off.

Left side of slide: MDL CZ82 9MM CZECH
below slide SN: C.A.T.  GEORGIA VT.

Thanks for any information you can provide!

from what i understand, the 'she89x' means it was made in '89.....
c.a.t. georgia, vt should be the importers stamp.....

That stamp should be "CAI Georgia VT" for Century International Arms.  They switch their initials around for obvious reasons.
