I have about 400 rounds through my recently-acquired 85 Combat. I shot some rental 75B's before getting the 85- I really like the platform. Right now the trigger breaks at 5.75 pounds in S.A. I'd like to eventually have it at about 4- 4.5#. I can be patient, and plan to put a couple thousand rounds through it in the next several months. Will that much use give me what I'm looking for, or should I plan to ship my baby off to a CZ-experienced smith? I've done a fair amount of work myself inside my 1911, Glock, and two S&W wheelguns, so I'm not afraid of doing a little home smithing if that's practical. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

The WEIGHT of the trigger isn't going to change much. The smoothness of the trigger is what improves. The creep/grunge goes away.
If you want a lighter trigger, you'll probably have to go to a slightly lighter hammer spring.
Wolff Springs has a calibration pack that lets you try different weights.

That's about what I figured. Thanks, Walt.
