I'm exploring the possibility of picking up a CZ 97B...just curious if anyone knows if the newer models with the light rail have been released yet?

:D As if the CZ97B wasn't big enough already. ;D But, they are as accurate as they come!!

Roger where did you here of a 97B with a rail? I have the 97B and BD but never seen or known of one with a rail. There were some special runs of Nickel Plated one's i believe for RSR not sure tho. David

AFAIK there have been no 97B's with a light rail. I have one of the very unique satin nickel "RSR Specials", but that's the only different 97 that CZ has made and that was back in 2004.

I sure wish they'd make one. I love my sp-01 and I want a 97b real bad but it would be even better with a rail

I will preface this with the fact that I have no idea what I am talking about. But would you be able to machine an accessory rail out of the massive amount of metal that is on the front of that frame?
I have also seen where Cylinder & Slide and Novak have mountable accessory rails for 1911's. Would something with a 1913 pictanny scope mount rail inverted and mounted on the frame work?

Just when I thought the 97B couldn't get bigger! ;D Actually, it is lighter than a SA TRP with Bull Barrel and Full Length dust cover. Don't get me wrong, the 97B is a great shooter and very well built. I had one for (3) years and it was too big for my hands. I traded it on a CQB.

You could add one of these. Not sure how well the contour of the 97's lower dust cover would mate to this rail but a good smith could make it look good.
