Title: Second CZ 85 Combat

>Blather mode on<

Liked my first CZ85 a great deal so I let stand an order I had placed.  My second nickle CZ came in today a month or two ahead of schedule.

Since my first was a nearly new CZ, it was fun to see what is included in a stock box - two sixteen round magazines, lock and a magazine loader. My! There's also a years supply of oil on the pistol.  Rust proofed. My impression is that the new one has a slightly smoother trigger release in single action mode. (Edit: Just finished cleaning the new one and played with triggers on pistol 1 and 2 and could not call one or the other that much smoother.) It will be interesting to see how it feels after some dryfiring and rounds through the tube.

I'll clean it up and go shooting tomorrow.

The next day - Went shooting, pistol functioned perfectly with WWBox and Speer Lawman.  That's when I discovered the magazines were labled as 16 round.

I shot both CZs with similar good accuracy.  I put a CZ USA fiber optic (http://www.ghostholster.com/cz_home.htm) on my first CZ.  It also has CZ rubber grips.

I prefer the feel of the rubber grips over stock plastic.  I experienced no difference in accuracy between the sights (I was not expecting any).  The fiber optic glows brightly outdoors. Currently I prefer it.  However, I was happy shooting the stock sights.  In the future I may experiment with Angus's  other sight offerings.

I've found that flourescent model paint with a mix of yellow and green (almost chartruese) in the dots, works great for my eyes.  Bright in bright light, and visible in lower light.

Congradulations, you made an excellent choice.
