Title: Ammunition

I shoot with American Eagle 124 grain, and it seems to shoot not a bad grouping.  What is the best ammo that you have found for your 85 combat?

Sellier & Bellot 115 gr fmj -- typically under $5 a box from several sources, including Natchez Shooter's Supply.  (www.natchezss.com) (http://www.natchezss.com))

Shipping is added, but I live in an adjoining state, so its only about $12 - $15 a case [1000 rounds].

CCI Blazer 115 gr fmj -- same place as above, but lower price.  Typically $4.30 - $4.60 a box in case lots.

IMI 115 gr fmj -- a bit higher, but outstanding ammo.  Around $5.50 - $6.50

Denel or PNP (South African) 115 gr fmj -- generally $50 per 500 from Century International Arms, shipping included.

Magtech 115 gr fmj -- about the same as IMI.  Various sources.

S&B is the ammo CZ uses in bench testing their guns; its a Czech product.  Good value, reliable.  The stuff I've used has typically seemed "hotter" than other brands, but I've read others claim its a bit less hot...

I avoid most other brands -- they simply don't perform as well.

For carry, its Federal Golden Saber 124 gr hollowpoint.  Very, very accurate ammo.

In Canada for new ammo, you will pay anywheres from $14-22 per box (50 rounds).
