Title: Trick it out.
Post by: BRASMAN on October 24, 2005, 12:35:23 PM
I have decided to go ahead with tricking out my 97B since it is worth it. If I am going to spend $250-300 to get it refinished I am going to do every thing I can to it. If you have any ideas please let me hear them. I do want to keep the total pistol under a reasonable price though and not have $2000 in it. Below are my thoughts.

1. Hard Chrome from TRIPP.
2. Fiber optic from Ghost.
3. Hammer from Ghost.
4. Hard sear.
6. Get every single spring from Wolff that I can.
7. Steel guide rod most likely one from Jack Ash.
8. Holster from HBE that matches whatever grips I get.
9. Grips from Omega or Hakan if he starts making them for 97s. The grips are my biggest delema because I can not decide on a style. So please give me your recomendations on what you think would look good and give good grip on a satin grey 97B. This will not be a safe queen as I shoot every gun I own but this will be the closest thing to a safe queen that will also pull some carry duty as well.

I am keeping it double action  and keeping the non adjustable rear sights. If I have missed ant thing please let me know. The first thing I am going to do is the finish and the sear because they will end up being the most expensive and if I do not do them soon I will probably never get them done but I plan on doing all of this within 6mos time. I do not like drawn out projects.

If this turns out well my .40B is next in line.
