Yesterday a member of our gunclub made the choise of killing himself at our local range...........
He came in,had a cup of coffee, whent down to the range and after 20 minutes of shootingfun he placed a 9mm Smith&Wesson on the side of his head and pulled the trigger.......
Why and why at our gunclub is the big question!
The only thing he did right was minding his backstop,he stood sideways and didnt shoot the guy(s) next to him.
I really dont have the words(in english)to express myself off this terrible experience.
Police,ambulance,traumahelicopter.
Terrible experience for everybody....shootingclubs should be fun!
21 years old what a waiste........and a terrible experience!
Being a handgunner for nearly 25 years it was a new and shocking experience

What a sad and tragic event. I know it will affect members of the club, but I hope the effects can be overcome quickly along with the negative reaction that is sure to follow.

I am sorry to hear about the terrible tragedy at your club. Yes it is supposted to be a fun place to go and shoot with friends. No one could have known what he was up to or why he did it. Seeing that must have been afull.

Had the same thing happen at the range I worked at, terrible thing. Sorry it happend like that. People who commit suicide often send many signals out, and so many people miss them - that compounds the tragedy. My sympathies, sir, and I hope this won't hurt the club or your rights in that area.

One thing to keep in mind about most people who commit suicide: They don't give a crap about how it affects loved ones and friends (and bystanders in some cases). In fact, it's often a "I'll show them!" response.
Hard thing to say, but that's the simple truth. Sorry you had to be there to witness it. Hope you let it go.

That's rough. Prayers sent for you and the family.
