Title: Shiny Blue...oh so pretty!
Post by: Otto N Sure on October 04, 2005, 10:57:58 PM
Howdy!

It came in today...I've been waitin' on it for about 2 weeks.  It's all that paperwork hassle.  But it came in today.

I sold off an old 1911 A1--mismatched slide and frame, adjustable  3 dot sights added, some cool grips.  Not much real "original" , but the guy wanted it and I wanted...

So it came in today. Yep a shiny blue 97.  If those 1911 guys knew what they were missing...shh  let's keep it our secret.

CZ's dark glossy blue is one of the prettiest finishes available on new guns, nowadays.  Almost as pretty as the old deep, dark blue that came on S&W Revolvers, in the old days.

(I just wish these dark, glossy finishes didn't show smudges and light scratches/blemishes as easily as they do.)

I've seen so many comments on the two finishes available for the 97b.  Could anyone point me to a side-by-side comparison of what the two finishes look like in the same (or similar) lighting conditions?  I'm sure someone must have posted something like this already; I think I even saw it somewhere.
