Hi guys, new to the forum
I've purchased a new CZ 97B last friday. I went to the fire range and shot 100 rounds PMC Bronze and 20 Golden Saber with no problems at all.
Cleaning the gun , I've notice a little crack inside the slide.
Here some pictures.......what do you think ? Do I need to contact the CZ customer service ?

Are you talking about the extractor pin? (#51 in your owner's manual parts guide). If you are, there doesn't look to be anything wrong with it. If you're talking about the little mark next to it in the first pic, it looks more like a tooling mark than a crack but it's hard to tell from the picture. Can you snag it with your fingernail or a q tip?

I'm talking about the mark next to it...was not there when I've cleaned the gun before going to shoot for the first time.
I've noticed that , after I've shot 100 rounds.
:o

I'd call for sure.

I am with Widge on this one, I dont see anything out of the ordinary. Shoot it and see what happens. Keep an eye on what you think is a crack and see if it gets bigger or changes.

You don't see anything out of the ordinary ?...... ???
If you have a CZ97B remove the slide turn it and check if you have this dent/crack on the slide...it's visible from the picture.
I've got a CZ 75 B and it doesn't have it........

This is what I'm talking about ...to be clear

I'm pretty sure that's not normal.
Sent from my annoying, yet wonderful, iPhone.

That's not a crack. CZ staked the bottom of the slide where the ejector pin resides to keep the pin from moving downward.
If the ejector pin ever moved down, the results would be catastrophic. The ejector retaining pin would crash into the sear cage and probably do irreparable damage. The pin should always be removed from the bottom and driven out the top of the slide. The untrained are probably not aware of this, but a gunsmith would spot this immediately. The staking looks a little rough, but will do no harm.
BTW, the breech face of the slide is heat treated about 1.0" to the rear which would include the ejector pin; this area of the slide is hard as h_ll, which also makes staking more difficult.

You have the same on your CZ 97 B ?

schmeky , after your message I've checked the CZ 75 B and there's the same ...... ;)
Thank you

Snr1600,
Yes, my 97's (3 of them) and my 75's all have the same staking, as do all CZ's. Relax, your's is fine.
