hello all,
i have just bought myself a cz75b :)
i have a question about the finish... my box says silver.
it is stainless(ish) but not quite...its bright but not reflecty, the barrel, hammer, slide release and the safety are black.
i cant find a similar gun on any cz sites.
any idea ?

pictures?

Hello and welcome to the forum.
I am guessing your pistol is nickle plated. A photo would help.

Something like this ?

thank you,
i shall post pictures. it is something like the bottom one in the picture but the slide is also the same finish as the frame.
if it is nickle, is it durable? do i have to take any particular care in handling / cleaning etc ?
-
could someone please guide me how to post pics?

You can use photobucket, it's free , or another free provider.
You need to download the picture there and then, post the link here

trying 3 pics, not good ones. shall try again with a regularcamera instead of the phone camera.

Good lookin' finish on an EXCELLENT pistol.
Enjoy that CZ 75B. :)
-
thanks . it is a durable finish ? i hope.
any special care for it ?
still havent been able to get it to the range :(
-
No special care and should stand up well.
-
Is this the same finish found on the duotone 75 compacts? I returned from the range and found that my sweaty paws/grip darkened the finish. I had to dig out my Flitz to get it back to looking like the rest of the frame...I wasn't expecting that at all.....

Looks like a silver poly coat finish to me?

Product description for stainless 75B from CZ USA website.
"The CZ 75 is available in matte, high polish and while supplies last, the Limited Edition with bead blasted rounds and brushed flats. All stainless models are equipped with ambi safety levers."
Does yours have an ambi safety? If not, then it's brushed nickle. If so, it's stainless according to CZ.
