Title: What slides will fit on a Kadet frame?
Post by: Pynckone on July 13, 2011, 12:32:30 AM
My LGS just put out used Kadet which keeps calling my name.

Now I currently own a Kadet Kit as well as a P-01, 75D PCR, and a 75C. (Yes, I love the compact form factor!) I plan to eventually add a full frame 75B to my collection, but am in no rush to do so.

I put my 75D slide and barrel onto the Kadet full sized frame as well a magazine from a full size 75B.  Functionally, everything seemed to work.  The barrel and slide from the Kadet similarly fit onto my 75D frame. I did not try this the 75C or P01, however, I believe like the 75D, everything would be interchangeable.

The Kadet and the 75C utilize a safety while the P-01 and 75D both have a decocker.  Everything seems interchangeable, and I would like to know for certain if they are.

Does anyone know for sure if all these guns/frames are interchangeable? Anybody else have and use a similar array of equipment?

Thanks for any help with this issue!

they are...some may not be drop on/in, but should interchange.
there is nothing special about a Kadet frame, it is a 75B style frame. BUT it DOES NOT have a firing pin block lifter, so if you put a top end on it that has the firing pin block in it, it has not way to lift the block.
