I posted a couple of days ago in someone else's thread ,well my CZ 52 is done we are taking pics now and we will add them to this post later tonight. I started with an unfired pretty much pristine CZ 52 ,added some upgrades; an extended slide stop, hardened rollers for the barrel, a competition 5lb firing pin and spring, and an extractor. I stripped it all down & redid it in Graphite Black and a custom Gray Cerakote that I mixed-almost dupilcates the original parkerizing. I also had the slide milled for Novak sights to finish it off. I also did a friends CZ 52 in armour black and satin mag cerakote two tone. Should have pics of that by the weekend and Will put up some pics of a couple of others that we modded and refinished in the General firearms forum
-Enjoy the pics and take care,Brian

Brian, you are a tease.... Let's see those pics!
;)
-
sorry about getting the pics up late , we are having a problem with our one computers so we lost the pics of the other 52 we will try to retake those pics tomorrow and add them as well.
-
That is spectacular Brian. Nice job. Very sexy CZ.
-
Really, really nice!
-
I agree. That is a beautiful pistol!

Thanks guys , I also did one for a long tine friend in armor black and satin mag two tone cerakote I post some pics as soon as we take them.

Well got to range last ,was going to go today, but with that nasty hurricane coming up the west coast weather today and tomorrow doesn't look too good this weekend. All the mods and upgrades worked flawlessly. The wolff plus 10 power mag springs fixed the slide not locking open after the last round. The new extended slide stop works great -no more pulling back on the slide to put the next round in when inserting a fresh mag. The harrington firing pin kit greatly improved trigger pull while smoothing it out as well. Last I loved the sights ,overall the project turned out great and modernized a pistol that was ahead of it time to begin with.
-
Yeap, the Harrington pin and rollers are a nice upgrade . I installed them on my two CZ-52s that are fully upgraded , including new barrels. Congrats on a nice rebuild .

I bought them from Ebay , a couple of years ago.

You have a pair if beautiful looking CZ 52's. Harrington parts are very nice we are fortunate that there are still parts out there for these pistols.
-
josey,
A beautiful pair of pistols.
-
Now that is NICE!! I am thoroughly impressed!! Hat's off to you.
-
Thanks . I have to take pics of one I did for a good friend of mine, its done in a two tone black and satinmag cerakote, i will try to get them posted by this weekend.
-

-

-
I'd really like to see close-up photos of the front/rear Novak sights.
Please... Pretty please!!
:D
-
There is one close up of my low profile novaks on the first page of this thread, I will have my sons take some close up photos and post them .
-
You really do produce some good lookin' refinished guns sir. :)
-
Thankyou and its even more fun going to the range all the time I test every firearm before and after refinishing.
-
Great gun porn....I sure admire the job you have done..thnks for shareing
-
If anyone is looking I found the floor plates at http://www.buymilsurp.com/magazine-base-metal-tt33-pistol-p-3350.html
-
Nice link. I have a milling machine so making that fit would be easy.
-
Brian,
I appreciate the pics. I'm really wanting to see up-close how the front sight mounting is machined. I'm just a curious shop monkey teaching myself gunsmithing! :)
-
All the pics are excellent, guys. Great work.
It's awesome to see these guns get the respect they deserve.
I love mine, but alas, she's all stock with original finish in 95+% shape. So, no way I can bring myself to alter that aspect yet. Some grips and mag floor plates are in my near future, however.
-
I ordered some of those mag plates too I think they will definitely speed up mag changes, I love shooting this pistol, absolutely a blast.
-
Perhaps I am dense. What is the advantage of these other mag floor plates? (other than spiffy looks?)
-
Easier to pull the mags out ,gives you something to get a hold of ,other than that no use unless you like how they look!
-
The mag base arrived made from bar stock so they are heavy duty but the fit and finish are poor I will refit them and cerakote them so that they will look sharp and perform properly when installed. I will post pics of poor fit and finished product. Cost was reasonable ,but I think they could have spent a little more time in producing a better fitting product. I will make it look and work properly I just won't tolerate half ass mag base.
-
Well I happen to like polishing gun parts and using both dremmil tools to cut and grind and polish.
Your CZ52 and baseplates look great.
So I guess I have a little project when I get the three I ordered. I only have 6 magazines for my CZ52, now I want to order at least 5 more. I hate spending time at the range loading magazines!!! If only someone would come up with a better follower.
I am up to 13 mags for my PT1911 in 38 Super. Six for my CZ82 and 4 for my Makarov. I just shoot until all the mags are empty, go to another handgun and fire until all it's magazines are empty.
-
Beautiful 52! I pick up mine next week after the CA. 10 day wait. It's clean, but yours makes it look terrible. I may have to go the refinish route like you-NICE JOB!
-
The best part about the CZ 52 is just going out and shooting it,have fun with yours.
