Title: Can't find a CZ-85C Dual-tone

I have a CZ-85C Dual-tone and one of my shooting buddies loves it and wants one just like it.  The problem is we can't seem to find one anywhere.  They seem to be harder to find than bigfoot or an honest politican.  He would like one NIB, but would settle for used one.  Anybody have a clue as to where one might be?

The 85 itself is a rare animal. Why not make a dual tone out of a standard?

GunBroker, Guns America, etc. don't show any like we need.

How could I make a duel-tone out of a blued one?  The job of plating the frame would cost a fortune and would probably require refitting of all the innards.

Maybe it is hopeless.

Great!  I'll give them a call.  When I got mine neither CZ-Custom nor CZ-USA had seen any for a while.  As a result, the only one I found cost me just over $600.  I don't care that much about the extra money I spent, since I've had all this time to enjoy it, but getting one from the custom shop would have meant I could get the hammer job done right away.

Looking on the CZ-UB site I found that they do not list the CZ85 in Satin Nickle instead they list Silver Polycote. This brings to mind that CZ-Custom is able to apply the same finish in silver as well as black and OD. This raises the possibility that CZ-Custom could MAKE a two tone from a black one. Due to their association to CZ-USA there should be no warranty concerns.

You may be able to get a price break if you have trigger/hammer work done at the same time as both operations require the same tear down.
