Title: Recoil Buffer? Improved Trigger? CZ 75 SP-01 SHADOW 2012
Post by: EZX12 on April 26, 2012, 11:20:42 PM
Angus,

The advertised SHADOW 2012 specs are on this page:  http://www.czub.cz/en/news/news/517-cz-75-sp-01-shadow-2012.aspx (http://www.czub.cz/en/news/news/517-cz-75-sp-01-shadow-2012.aspx)

The CZUB info on the new CZ 75 SP-01 SHADOW 2012 mentions:

"buffer set (3x thick, 2x thin)"

Is this a recoil buffer, like the one made by Buffer Technologies?  The reviews regarding the aftermarket recoil buffers seem to range from lukewarm to "waste of money".   I've also heard/read somewhere that a factory buffer from a Tactical Sport can be used in the SHADOW; but, I've heard no feedback on their utility.

If you've had an opportunity to preview a SHADOW 2012, are the CZ factory buffers any better?  Perhaps the "thick and thin" options prevent failures with different loads?  Do they, in your estimation, reduce recoil ...or is it simply to reduce the possibility of slide or frame damage in the "redesigned" SHADOW 2012?  What's the chance that they'll work in an older SHADOW?

Also, any info on the "Improved trigger mechanism" of the SHADOW 2012?  (Is that a trigger job, or some version of OMEGA trigger?).

Any preview info (that you are able to disclose) regarding the SHADOW 2012 is greatly appreciated!

Thank you Angus!
