Guys, just got a New glossy blue 2012 dated 97B, the mags are not maker marked. They are stamped CZ97 on back edge on one side and .45 on the other. Are these Meggar mags? Have not shot the pistol yet, feed ramp is polished. Thanks

Well, I guess it doesn't matter, just got home after running 80 rounds of WWB 230 grain ball and 20 rounds of 230 grain JHP with no problems. Pistol was taken apart, cleaned and greased before shooting. Seemed plenty accurate, was shooting beer cans in a trash pit. Pleased so far. :)

My factory mags from CZ Custom say the same thing. My Mecgar mags don't say CZ 97 on them, but they work perfectly, too.

I think Mecgar manufactures the mags for CZ but I'am not 100% sure on that. The ones they supply to CZ for shipment usually won't have their Mecgar stamp on them. If your gun is dated 2012 then you have the newest updated mags available and they should work great. I purchased a CZ97BD back in February of this year but the gun was made in 2009 and had the old style mags. That gun did not function well even with ball ammo and wouldn't chamber a hollow point. The slide would not lock back 50% of the time also and at that the gun went back to CZ. They replaced the entire gun with a new 2012 model and 2 updated mags as well and the replacement gun is flawless so far with about 1100 rounds through it.
Enjoy it,that gun is a blast to shoot!

My first year 97 mags say MecGar on them. They are exactly the same (markings) as the three mags I ordered from MecGar some years ago. They also fit the EAA .45 acp and vice versa. The EAA frames are very similar to the CZ in the main grip area, and I was told when I ordered the mags they were identical to the two makes. Cheaper than from CZ, too. I would like mags with the CZ logo on them, but five is enough and no one sees them. They work fine in my 97, also. (the mecgar ones)
