Title: 550 with No Integral Bases???
Post by: tdn on May 22, 2012, 02:11:30 PM
Hi All,

I am new to the forum as I have just picked up my first real CZ rifle! (Had a CZ3, but MRC1999's are not a real CZ)

I recently acquired a 550 in 30-06 that is drilled and tapped for base screws. I have no idea of the pattern and I am hoping it will match a M70 or 700, but am not sure. I know that current CZs have integral, double square bridge bases.
I have never seen one like this -

Can anyone tell me what bases fit this rifle and when it was made?
Maybe a rare find?

Thanks a lot-

Great - thanks!

I am thinking it is going to be re-bored to a 9.3x62 - I am loving the way the stock fits!
