I've reassembled my Pre B after a refinish in Cerekote and replaced the trigger and disconnecter with one of Dave's reach reduction kits. My single action is functioning normal but I've seem to have lost the double action. The armorers manuel stated to look at the trigger bar spring and it appears normal and in the same position as my B-model that is un-molested. I've e-mailed Dave and I'm sure I'll hear from him shortly but I'm open for suggestions on what to look for. The Pre-B safety was a nightmare after the paper clip in the takedown hole came out on my first attempt at returning the safety to the sear cage. I managed to get it back into position without loosing the plunger and when I managed to get it back into place the safety felt normal. The single action works normally with the reach reduction trigger, just no double action. This project has been both a lesson in patience and a humbling experience. I applaud all real gunsmiths, I will always be a part replacer. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

possible the disconnector is not reduced enough to reset on the trigger bar.
does your reach reduction kit use the set screw in the top of the trigger?
-
Yes, there's a screw at the top of the trigger where it enters the frame. I just took the screw completely out and removed it and my double action works! It WORKS! It WORKS! It WORKS! Thank you Stuart.

no worries..just simply the trigger not coming forward enough to reset on the triggerbar onto the disconnector.
you probably can reinstall the screw and find the spot where it is just right.

Stuart,
Thanks for your input. I forgot this customer had the RRK. The reset and adjustment is covered in the instructions included with the RRK. Don't forget to make certain the threads are clean and when you get it adjusted, be sure to loctite as recommended.
Stuart, send me a bill . . . . .

It runs great, fifty rounds and no hee-cups. Thank you one and all.
