Title: I have my form 1 back but can't get anyone to addd stock to VZ61!
Post by: cpu77 on June 12, 2012, 10:23:36 PM
I called Waffen Werks a couple months ago and they said they would install the stock when my form 1 came back.   Well I have emailed them 3 times and left 4 messages.   No response!   I even called czechpoint about their discontinued  SBR.  They basically said they have no parts and no way to help me.   All I really need is the mount waffen made.  Even if I could get a cut original receiver,   I could have the local machine shop make me a bracket.   Ideas???

Waffen works is kinda slow. Its worth the wait though. I got my stock adapter from ArAK guns. This company is owned by the owner of waffen works sister. Nice lady. Here is a link:

Order and received the stock mount from WWW.ARAKGUNS.COM they were a little slow on the shipping but not bad.  Order the stock from Czechpoint and received it just a few days ago. Purchased a few extra mags from CDNN last weekend and just received them today.  Just now need to get my NFA Trust and submit the forms to SBR my VZ-61.  Hopefully will get this project completed next year.

Umm.... you really should have the approval in hand before stocking up on parts... If you have a friend you can store them with in the mean timeI would get them out of the house.... Constructive intent......

You may also want to check on this you as a person can file to build an SBR but an NFA Trust is not a person.... this complicates things......

don't want to rain on your parade just want to keep people out of greybar situations.....

Having the parts should not constitute Constructive Intent as it still requires machining of the receiver to install the stock to the receiver.  This is unlike an AR where having a short barrel on hand that one could switch out with a wrench.

To be charged with Constructive Intent the parts you have would need to be readily able to be install on to the weapon, I believe that since machining of the receiver is needed before being able to be install would prevent me from readily installing the parts on to the receiver.

I can add the stock plates to your VZ61, and do the engraving and register your Skorp for 175 bucks including postage.

I just got one done for Mike K. "prebans". He's also selling the plates for the dovetailed buttstock assemblies.

Here's his post from Arizonashooting.com

I went to a gun show and found a guy selling a bunch of Czech Skorpion pistol-to-SBR stock adapter plates. The plate is beveled on the rear to fit onto the rear of one of the standard Czech Skorpion pistols. You attach it to the pistol by using two 6-32 x 3/8 flat headed screws, which are included.

The metal work itself is great but the finish sucked, so I had them all professionally refinished.

I'll sell you one for 75.00 with free shipping. Insurance or sig required is at your option. All NFA rules apply. Please IM me with questions.

FYI, CDNN is blowing out Skorpion pistols for 399.00 now than CZ isn't importing Skorpions any more.

Thanks for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Mike K. prebans@hotmail.com

Also.... check and double check paperwork to BATFE.  Use only blue FBI fingerprint cards... they will reject anything else, and expect to wait at least 8 months for approval, as I sent mine 1/3/12, and received stamp 8/26/12. I sent in SBR and Suppressor forms.

I'll try to get some pics up soon. Mike didn't give me any magazines so it looks nekkid.

I sold all my mags off when I sold my post sample MG many years ago. 3x the price of 9mm and the fact that only Euro .32ACP ran properly because of the crimp kinda soured me on the MG.

Hi, guys.  Just joined the board 5 min ago.  Derek of AZEX did the SBRing for me (thank you, thank you, THANK YOU), and I can't wait to see what it looks like when it arrives this coming week!

The story on my plates is that I found a small stack of them at a local WI gun show.  The metal work was GREAT but the finish was horrible.  We're talking cold blue rubbed on with a dirty rag on an uncleaned piece of metal.  I had them all blasted and Duracoated locally.  Then I found the correct screws at a local hardware store and added them to the mix.

I think I sold one plate every 3+ weeks- they WEREN'T moving.  Now they're flying and my last one is online on GB.  People have asked me to have a machinist make more plates, but I want to have locked-in "I will take x from you for y" before I get a machinist to do that.  I'm a little gunshy because if it wasn't for the current panic, I'd still be sitting on a pile of these wondering if I'd even break even.

I'll be happy to post pics of my gun once it arrives.  As for the plate, see http://pics.gunbroker.com/GB/325022000/325022993/pix440624717.jpg (http://pics.gunbroker.com/GB/325022000/325022993/pix440624717.jpg)
