Great video. I was surprised when Hickock45 mentioned using standard 75 mags in the P-07. Everybody, including CZ-USA, says standard 75 mags won't work in the P-07 but they clearly functioned well in this case.  ???

That was the first thing I noticed as well.  Hickock usually does good reviews.  He has a few different CZ videos.

I shot someone's P-07 (non-threaded) at the range last weekend, and he's right, the trigger feels great DA or SA. The thing is also light as a feather which is shocking next to all steel CZ 75 SP01's. Felt like a toy but shot extremely well.

Great video BTW, hickock is awesome.

Same here, I tried my 75b mags in the shop and they fit right in and locked back the slide release.  SP01 mags did the same.  Range test coming soon.  Details to follow

Every one claims that the P-07 mag is proprietary to the gun but I have found that the standard 75 mag functions flawlessly . They stick out a bit as they are longer but the kicker here is my 14 round PCR mags also function flawlessly and do not stick out much further than the regular P-07 mag. Now all that said the standard 75 mags AND the PCR mags also function 100% and lock back the slide on the final round without fail, something that the P-07 mags do not do. I think CZ may want to revisit the P-07 mag design and consider some improvements.

Curious, would the P07 mags work in a cz75B/SP01 too?

His magazine comment was the big news for me.  I had stopped buying an 07 after reading mags were incompatible.  But, I'm still probably going to buy an SP-01 or 75B instead.  Unless the 09 comes out real soon and mags will interchange.

The P-09 is estimated to arrive near the end of 2012 or beginning of 2013.

I need to clarify something I left out in my earlier post here. While I find the standard Cz 75 and PCR mags work perfectly in My P-07 I also find that the P-07 mags WILL NOT fit in the other 2 guns as they are wider and will not insert into the frame. Go figure.

I think that I've seen posts that say the problem with regular CZ mags is when the are slammed in, they'll hit the single trigger bar and cause problems.

I really want a P-07 now that CZ seems to have gotten any teething problems with it fixed.  Suppressed or not, that looks like a bleep fine shooter, and I think the P-07 would compliment my PCR, and 75B well.  I'd like to try the Omega trigger system as well as I did dry fire a P-07 at at local gunshop, and the trigger pull was really nice.

I took my new one to the range yesterday and loved it, didn't miss a beat  ;D

I'll test my regular CZ mags next trip, see how they work but I know down the road I'll have to suck it up and buy 2 more 07 mags....I like having 4 mags per handgun

Nice.  That's what I like to hear!  I'm not a big polymer fan, but would like to get this gun and give it a try.

mistakenly posted below in another thread (Nutnfancy review of P07 instead of hickock's review!)

Checked, and the CZ75 magazines (in this case from SP01 Shadow) work just fine with the P07 Duty, and also lock back the slide on the last round just fine, which the standard P07 Duty mags sometimes don't.

Duty with both mags (duty and shadow)

Hi. Would the Shadow mag's floorplate fit on the P-07 9mm mag?

Hicock45 just uploaded another video on the P07 without the suppressor.  Again, he confirms that the standard magazines work.

And there you have it. The Man. Hickok himself, telling us P-07 owner's what we already know!

Nice videos. And a well deserved good review of our fantastic plastic pistol!

I was out shooting with my son in law and grandson yesterday.

We shot my grandson's P07

How sweet it is.

I think my son in law is going to get one

That would make 3 in the family

They seem to multiply

Its surprising so many people are able to interchange 75b mags with P07 mags.  Mine won't take them.  It locks the slide back then dumps the may if I release the slide.

Any of the CZ 75 magazines will work in the CZ P-07. ProMag magazines will probably work, but they're not the highest quality magazine. I would get some MecGar magazines instead. I think they're as good as the CZ magazines.

Zombie Thread!

Friend's don't let friends buy Promags.  Mecgar mags aren't that much more expensive and WORK!  CZ factory mags are made by Mecgar.

It's an old thread, but a good one. I swear, I think Hickok could hit a target 50 yds away with a sling shot :)

Cheaper though to by mecgar than cz right?

I had good luck with 1911 mags at the range from promag, but they sucked with hollow points. just a target mag.
