How does the CZ 100 compare to other Striker fired pistols on the market?
-
Lol... I was just wondering the same after seeing the cz100 in another thread. I did not know CZ had a striker fired pistol just a striker fired rifle vz58.

I liked the CZ100 right from the start. It fit my hand well, a rarity for most double stack pistols due to my short, stubby fingers. Once I completed the trigger job and changed the recoil spring and guide (see threads elsewhere in this forum) my CZ100 in .40 S&W became one of my favorite pistols. Once you get used to the long DAO trigger it is accurate and a joy to shoot. On the downside it has a limited following so there aren't a lot of holsters, magazines, parts, or accessories out there for it.

For me, it's near the top of the early gen pistols. The design is what like 15 years old now? I have tiny little raccoon paws for hands, so the cz100 is about the only double stack that fits me perfectly. After reading Steve's post, I see that I am not alone in my misery. I think it's a joy to fire; it's accurate, the trigger (when tuned) stacks and breaks the same every time.
I was shooting with a buddy. He brought his late gen Glock 36 and I rented a PPQ at his range. The Glock wasn't better than my cz (to me). However, I really, really liked the PPQ, but I don't see myself switching anytime soon. I will probably add.

I have a CZ 100 and like it , I see you all talk about a triger job and springs , is this a difficult process ?
-
Can anyone offer experience with the trigger compared to say, the glock 17 standard trigger or the HK LEM trigger?
-
Given that it's a DAO trigger, I suspect you will see a pretty huge difference between the CZ 100 and a Glock trigger. If nothing else, the CZ 100 will have a much longer reset.

No, not difficult at all. The spring is just a case of dropping in a stainless steel AroTec S/S G19 (Glock) guide rod and a 24# Wolff G19 recoil spring. The trigger job just takes a little delicate work, but isn't too difficult as long as you are careful.
