Guys -
Would like your recommendations on which night sights are the best for the CZ75 Compact. The pistol has been worked over by Teddy Jacobson and shoots real good! I'm not sure about the factory sights and wonder about aftermarket sights.
Thanks,
Kujo

I just sent my CZ to Mr. Jacobson last week, with cash in advance. How long did it take to get it back? Did you have the barrel crowned as well? Did he replace your hammer spring and does it feel lighter when cocking by hand? What's the trigger feel like now? Did he tell you what the lbs were for the DA and SA pull? I can't wait to get mine back!

I sent cash and it took less than two weeks.
Had the barrel crowned.
Had the hammer spring replaced, I did not notice a big difference.
Teddy said that the trigger pull is 9 lbs DA and 4 lbs SA. The SA trigger feels great (much better than it was out of the box). The DA is not as good as I thought it should be but it does shoot good in DA.
Overall, it shoots real good. You'll like the work that Teddy does.

Thanks for the update! Doesn't Teddy do sights as well?

For fixed sights. www.ptnightsights.com have more money? go trijicon or mepro.
The PCR uses a unique sight. One would have to have the sights drilled and the
tubes installed. I don't know of nayone here with Nites on a PCR..or even a CZ83.
97B?
Upgrading your sight to tritium is a common question here. So please
post some pics. if you have nights on your CZ.I think for the most part that
they are all the same..only Price and user installation versus gunsmith install are
variables.
There can only be one

I've got night sights on my fullsize 75. Haven't looked for any for the compact yet. The local LEO who installed my Meprolight sights had to send the first rear sight back. Also, he had to peen the sight channel to make the sights stay in place good and snug.

God willin' and the crik don' rise, I'll be orderin' some PTs from CZ her in about five days, so we will see what happens....

In recent conversation with Mr. Teddy Jacobson he made clear that he does not do sights for CZ, just "Street Reliability Package", I understand he is very good and my CZ75 in .40 will be shipped to him as soon as the holydays and the expenses are over, he guarantees a 9lb DA and a 4lb SA

4 pound SA is pretty light, yet still defensible in court.
Seems odd how a lot of these Gunsmiths who refused to work on CZs in the
past..have come around to seeing CZs as working guns for many an American.
The PTs should work in the CZ75B Compact's dovetail. One could use the CZ75
PT in place of the PCR's neat sight if needed. I Think the front sight is standard
on the PCR.
CZ-USA has the PTs in stock and should get them to you very soon.

Don Williams at the Action Works mentioned Novaks to me in a recent conversation. He likes working on the CZ's and particularly mentioned the compact. He did a tremendous job on my Hi-Power 9MM.

Can you tell me more about the what Don Williams said about installing Novaks on a CZ75 Compact. For me, the only thing I would change would be the factory sights.
Thanks,
-
No, I can't remember exactly what he said. In checking with Novak, they said they do not have a sight for the CZ line at all. Whether there is one that will fit with some milling work or not is beyond me. The Heinie sights that Don put on my HP required some milling, but he did such a good job and with the slide being refinished as factory you would think Browning did it.

Hello,
I just got a NIB PCR today. I went to put in the the safe and noticed the sights glowing....dim, but definitely glowing. I compared to a stock G19 just to be sure. I didnt order it with night sights and it gives no indication on the box. Are factory night sights avail for the PCR?
Thanks

I just answered my own question. It seems to be some type of glow paint. The longer away from the light the dimmer they get. Ah well......thanks anyway.
-
CZ puts on a translucent glowing paint over the white dots on most guns.....poor mans night sights. I got rid of it and painted my rear sights WHITE and the front day glow orange....a marked improvement over the "oem glowing" paint.
It dulls the white quite a bit and really has no inherent advantage over plain bright white. I have a gun with Low mount Novaks with Trijicon nights.....there is no better sight
system out there......Shoot well
