Title: Bunny busting

Well, we went CZ bunny hunting, my buddy with his CZ 712, me with my 712 Utility, and a buddy with his...Beretta...:)
We saw all kinds of quail, (out of season), and dove, (out of season), even a wonderful old desert tortoise, (never in any kind of season, protected reptile, don't even touch!), but bunnies? HAH!
Well, right at the end, I did see one big Jack rabbit, not too far away...but the shotguns were put away. My buddy handed me his 38 revolver, so I took it and fired.
It was loaded with snake shot. Nice. I put a pellet through Jack's ear, and he left shaking his ears...probably swearing all kinds of rabbit curses at me. I am now leery of carrots... :D

Elmer Fudd got more shots off at Bugs than I did! :) And we had about the same effect, too.
On the other hand, I wore my CZ-USA boonie hat, and that made a HUGE difference with the sun beating down. My buddies have sunburned ears and necks, but I don't. :) Always nice to go out with a CZ wearing CZ gear. 8)

I am told the next hunting trip I am outvoted, and we will be on site at 0530. I would really prefer to catch the late risers...
